Finnmarkssykehuset HF er mer eller mindre i gang med å legge ned fødetilbudet i Alta. Denne sommeren er det varslet at fødestua skal være stengt i to måneder, og at alle jordmødrene flyttes til Hammerfest. På Helgeland er det også varslet kutt i fødetilbudet. Fødestua i Brønnøysund stenges 20. mars klokka 08, og alle fødende på Sør-Helgeland blir da henvist til sykehuset i Sandnessjøen. Vil stat
