Meteorologisk institutt nektet å svare ABC Nyheter på spørsmål om temperaturer og vær i høstferien. Ifølge MET var begrunnelsen som følger: "I lys av de menneskeskapte klimaendringene er det ikke i samsvar med våre verdier å bidra i en artikkel som oppfordrer til mer flyreiser".
