Method

The grade is computed by fixed rules. Each area gets points from 0 to 100, and the points are weighted. Between the thresholds the points run smoothly, so a company with 38 % equity gets nearly the same as one with 40 %, not a whole step less. A missing area is left out and its weight shared among the rest. A is 80 points or more, B 65, C 50, D 35, and E below that.

Solidity (30 %): equity ratio. 0 % gives 25 points, 10 % gives 45, 20 % gives 65, 30 % gives 85 and 40 % or more gives 100, smoothly in between. Negative equity gives 0.
Liquidity (20 %): current ratio. 0.5 gives 10 points, 0.8 gives 40, 1.0 gives 55, 1.2 gives 70, 1.5 gives 85 and 2.0 or more gives 100, smoothly in between.
